In Italy in the Horeca sector (Hotels Restaurants Catering) even big companies do not generally have members of their own staff in charge of safety and health at workplace. Therefore external consultants are the ones hired to ensure the protection of safety, health and wellbeing of employees, guests and visitors.

This publication provides a guidance to the application of the current regulations concerning occupational safety and health on construction sites (Chapter IV of the Legislative Decree 81/2008 as amended) and suggests a method for drawing up the safety plans, based on a careful assessment of all risks. Moreover, you can find some patterns, provided with practical examples, for the elaboration of: 

• Safety and Coordination Plan (SCP)
• Safety and Operational Plan (SOP)

With this flyer the Occupational Safety And Health Service Department of Public Health of the Local health Unit of Venice gives its contribution  to the prevention activities in the hairdressing sector. The main occupational risks of hairdressing are here shortly reviewed and the safety check used for the enforcement activities of the Occupational Safety And Health Office is shown. All through the year 2016 this safety check was used for the surveys of the Occupational Safety And Health Service of Venice in more than thirty hairdressing salons.

The CRAM has installed in cooperation with the professional associations of the Construction Industry and Public Works in the region Alsace-Moselle a common basis for measures for health and safety at construction sites. It proposes tools to better handle risks resulting from falls from the height, transporting material and lack of coordination and hygiene. 

In Switzerland, forestry is one of the branches with the highest accident numbers. The Suisse Accident Insurer, Suva, developed the campaign "Risk behaviour forestry" with the objective to reduce the numbers of accidents in forest enterprises, especially for felling activities.

This brochure, updated in November 2007, was carried out with and to the attention of tower constructors. It concerns the towers under 6 meters meeting the requirements of safe assembly/disassembly. 

This collection, “Technical Notebooks” is made of 8 booklets that describe the features of some particular equipment, usually available in temporary or mobile construction sites.

A partnership between the professional Organization for Prevention in the Construction Industry and Public Works (OPPBTP), the Regional Health Insurance Fund for Parisian region (CRAMIF), unions representing artisans and SMEs of the roofing sector (CAPEB) and the union for HVAC engineering enterprises and plumbing coverage (GCCP) helped to prepare documents that provide an overview of prevention tools, best practices and decision support for enterprises of the roofing sector.

This leaflet points out safety requirements to be fulfilled by motor cultivators, motor hoes and motor hoes with driving wheels, especially if manufactured after 1st January 2011. 

This leaflet is addressed to manufacturers, sellers and hirers of agricultural or forest machinery. It briefly describes duties and obligations which the above mentioned individuals have, according to European and Italian regulations.

This leaflet sums up thesafety requirements with which tractors must comply, according to Italian laws (Legislative Decree n° 81/2008 and Street Code), pointing out how those tractors lacking safety equipment have to be adapted to standards.

This leaflet describes safety requirements for particular agricultural machines, called “transporters”, that is agricultural or forest tractors equipped with loading platforms. Transporters must have retention systems (safety belts) for the driver and anti-overturning equipment. 

This leaflet shows the checks to be performed, according to Legislative Decree n° 81/2008, during maintenance operations on agricultural or forest tractors. Furthermore, the leaflet explains how to obtain a driving license for such tractors.

In the catering industry, the reduction of the difficulties in recruiting requires the improvement of the working conditions and the development of the occupational risks prevention.

In France there are around 1 680 000 working days that are lost each year due to catering-related activities, accidents at work, commuting accidents and professional diseases. This represents the equivalent of 4 600 full-time jobs over the year!
