After an overview on classification and labelling of carcinogenicity and mutagenicity for substances and mixtures, according to European legislation - updated to UE Regulation n.1272/2008 (CLP) - the mechanisms for carcinogenesis and mutagenesis are described, followed by the main measures to be carried out in order to control workers' exposure.
